How does the Bible word counter count?
It searches every verse of the translation you choose for the word or phrase, as a whole word, and counts each match. A verse that uses the word twice counts twice.
Why do the BSB and KJV give different counts?
They translate differently. The KJV says “fear not” where the BSB says “do not be afraid,” and the KJV uses “hell” for words the BSB leaves as Sheol or Hades.
Does it search the original Hebrew and Greek?
No. It counts English words in the Berean Standard Bible or the King James Version.
